Performance
Yachts first PY-100, 'Liara', was launched earlier this year in
New Zealand. She has already been the subject of a number of boat
tests receiving exceptionally high 'marks' for both build quality
and performance. Her public debut was at the Monaco Boat Show where,
if the number of visitors to her where anything to go by, she was
one of the stars of the show.
Built largely from carbon and epoxy with a very large sloop rig
and full width spreaders, and a lightweight, but superbly comfortable
interior, her owner is assured of good performance in light conditions.
Matching the large sail area to displacement ratio is a deep lifting
keel, which provides high stability. Unlike so many lifting keels
the clever design of 'Liara's' means it does not intrude into the
yachts interior.
The Performance Yachts range of fast cruising yachts, all designed
by Dixon Yacht Design, now extends from 92 to 125 feet. You can
