Like her sisters a serious blue water cruiser, the Moody 56 has all the equipment to allow two people to make light work of her handling. Electrical power is available to furl the cutter rig together with powered primary winches and a bow thruster aids close quarters maneuvering.

Strongly built, the 56 has powerful underwater sections and the ability to carry her sail comfortably without early reefing. She is capable of covering considerable distances each day in both light airs and when the going gets tougher.
