The Johnson 87 was the first of a new range of motor yachts that we have designed for this client. Johnson have been a client of ours since the 1980’s and we were delighted when they asked us to not just design the vessels, but also to carry out a detailed programme of research into the type of vessel we felt would be right for the present day and, which would have a long ‘production ‘ life’.

The result was the 87 and now its two ‘younger’ sisters, the 75 and the 105, details of which can also be found elsewhere on this site.

As can be seen from the images the 87 brings superyacht styling down to a range of yachts which, until we designed her, had only been seen on significantly larger vessels.

The new Johnsons styling is mounted on our latest, wide beam motor yacht hull, which was subjected to a considerable amount of development and tank testing prior to the final design being arrive at. It not only gives the yachts excellent stability and overall performance but provides a considerable increase in the amount of both deck and interior space.
